In less than 2 weeks, London will hold it’s first ever Technology Week and we are very excited to be a part of it!
YUDU Media is hosting an event on Sports and Technology on June 19. The session will explore ways technology is being used to enhance and support coaches and players in the field.
The event will attract sport associations, sport publishers and others interested in creating digital tools for sport, with representatives from The Football Association present on the day. The event will finish with a live screening of the England vs Uruguay World Cup match.
YUDU worked with staff at St. George’s Park earlier this year on converting two publications, relating to young player development, into digital formats. The FA’s Digital Learning Project Manager, Darren Sandbach, said: ”It was important for us to make the transition to digital because it tied in with the idea of a modern coaching workforce in England.
”We wanted to use apps as a way to bring what’s essentially reference material into a digital environment, enhancing these editions with more basic rich-media functionality and giving them the option to move on to more advanced interactive content further down the line.”
Richard Stephenson, YUDU CEO said: ”Partnering with sporting organisations is a key focus for us here at YUDU. As well as working with the Football Association, we have recently developed an app for UCoach. It enables content to easily get into the hands of coaches, many of whom are now using a mobile device. We would like to share some of the experience we have gained in the field of Technology for Sport, and invite any related organisations and publishers looking for digital solutions to join us at this informal gathering”.
The networking event will be hosted within walking distance from Holborn and St. Paul’s, and those interested can register for the event here.
