From the wide spectrum of digital strategies adopted in the publishing industry The Financial Times’ stands out as one of the indisputable successes. Having famously, and controversially, erected a pay wall on their website in 2005 they last year managed to achieve the one time seemingly impossible feat of seeing their digital subscriber numbers overtake those of the traditional print edition. All this considered, it’s safe to say that they know what they’re doing, which is why it was such an honour that they chose to entrust us here at YUDU with the task of creating apps for their magazines.
The first of their YUDU built apps has just gone live. Investors Chronicle Investment Guides was launched last week and has already proven a success for the FT. The app gives users essential information on personal finance, shares and planning for retirement via a series of easy to understand guides, with new additions released on a bi-monthly basis.
But there’s more to come from the Financial Times. With the Investors Chronicle magazine app launching imminently, and further projects in the pipeline with us here at YUDU, it’s clear that they are making a commitment to the ‘magazine app’ model for their range of titles.
So download the Investors Chronicle Investment Guide app now for all your investment advice needs and keep an eye out for forthcoming releases from the Financial Times.
